Roy Roundtree proves he can still come up big
Fifth-year senior Roy Roundtree was a logical choice to don Desmond Howard's No. 21 Legends Jersey this season. The wide receiver entered the year leading Michigan in receptions (123), yards (1,724) and receiving touchdowns (12), and had proven a leader and a consummate team player, sacrificing production a year ago - he finished with only 19 grabs in 13 games -- for team success.
Roundtree expected to have a big senior season, but nine games into the campaign, he had just 15 catches for 239 yards and a score. He hadn't had more than three grabs in any single game (once, Notre Dame) and had finished with 50 yards or more only once (64 yards against Minnesota). He had not produced a 100-yard effort since Nov. 2010, going 21 games without experiencing that type of effort.
