Spring preview: Justice Hayes must prove himself capable
It stung when Michigan lost out on five-star tailback Demetrius Hart in the 2011 recruiting class, but in four-star Justice Hayes, the No. 85 overall player in the country, U-M landed a versatile talent. Two years later, it might be do-or-die time for Hayes.
"I know he's been playing the waiting game, waiting for his shot, but he's smart enough to figure out that he's in his third year now and that window closes more and more unless you prove that you can contribute in some way," said Joe Delaney, his former coach at Grand Blanc Community.
"A school like Michigan is always recruiting that position and Justice will either fall down the ladder or climb up it. He has the talent to make an impact, but he has to go out and do it."
