Post-Game Q&A: Subs fill in nicely for injured starters
After a few weak performances by Big Ten programs in early-afternoon games Saturday, there was some concern Michigan might also play a clunker in its opener. By the end of the first quarter, though, with U-M leading 14-3 and one yard away from taking a 21-3 lead, concerns diminished.
The Maize and Blue simply outclassed the Chippewas offensively, defensively and on special teams, achieving the type of lopsided win that will give fans reason to smile for the next week leading up to a Sept. 7 night game against Notre Dame.
