Ryan back after long rehab
At the end of practice, Jeff Ryan hops on a stationary bike. Then he wraps an ice pack around his left knee.
"It's been a long road to recovery, but it's well worth it,'' the fifth-year senior says. "Honestly, the thought of coming back wasn't in my mind right away. It was a pretty tough time for me and I was thinking about tons of things. It was devastating to find out I would be sitting out the entire season.''
Ryan's senior season lasted a grand total of 14 minutes. Without any defensive pressure, the 6-foot-6 guard/forward planted his foot to prepare for a drive to the basket, but he immediately crumbled to the floor.
He had torn his ACL.
