Izzo sees continued growth from Nix in win over Milwaukee

EAST LANSING - Tom Izzo had mixed feelings about his team's 68-55 victory over the University of Milwaukee on Wednesday night.

The Michigan State coach was pleased with the way his team executed on offense, the way his players got to the free-throw line, and with the effort of junior center Derrick Nix.

"We still have an awful lot of work to do," said Izzo, "and yet we beat a pretty good team tonight, I don't think playing our best. I think some of that was them and I think some of that was us."
