Bertrand becoming more assertive

Sometimes when players get tagged with the 'potential' label early on, people expect too much from them and they just never seem to reach those expectations. Many times it is due to youth and inexperience, but when these extremely talented athletes put it all together they can become a special player.

One such player that is making strides in that direction is one of the top players in Illinois for 2009 in Joseph Bertrand.

At 6-foot-4, Bertrand has the size to play multiple positions on the floor.

Bertrand lists offers from Southern Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin among others, and says that Tennessee is a new school that has contacted him.
