The preseason accolades continue to roll in for the Michigan men's basketball team and its highly anticipated 2012-13 season.

Sophomore point guard Trey Burke was named to the Associated Press preseason All-American team. A 65-person panel consisting of national media members who primarily cover college basketball decides on the team.

Burke isn't the only Big Ten player to appear on the six-person All-American team.

Incredibly, the conference boasts three - or fully half - of the AP's All-American team.

Here's a run down of the roster:

  • Cody Zeller, Indiana

  • Doug McDemott, Creighton

  • Isaiah Canaan, Murray State

  • Deshaun Thomas, Ohio State

  • C.J. McCollum, Lehigh

  • Trey Burke, Michigan.

One other Big Ten player received votes from the panel: Ohio State's Aaron Craft.

Burke is coming off a sensational freshman season. He was named co-Big Ten Freshman Of The Year (along with Zeller) and earned Associated Press All-American honorable mention honors after averaging 14.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.6 points per game.

He broke the Wolverines' record for assists by a freshman, dishing out 140 (record previous held by Gary Grant, who tallied 140 in 1084-85).

Burke was also named to the preseason All-Big Ten team. He is on the second-team preseason All-American team from CBSSports.com and Athlon, as well as the Sporting News' preseason All-American third team.
