Create shots

Over the past few games, Nebraska's offense has really struggled to create open looks for shooters and has ended up taking a lot of bad, rushed shots as a result. The Huskers need to do a much better job of creating better shot opportunities for guys like Dylan Talley and Ray Gallegos to get them into a rhythm early on in games. If they can get hot, it opens up everyone else for even more scoring chances.
Bigs must step up

With senior center Andre Almeida likely out today after suffering a severe ankle sprain against Ohio State, Nebraska's already limited depth in the low post takes a significant hit. Senior Brandon Ubel will handle the bulk of the center duties in Almeida's absence, but the Huskers are going to have to rely on guys like freshman Shavon Shields and sophomore David Rivers to step up and give them a presence in the paint.
Play with fire

Head coach Tim Miles made no secret of his displeasure with the lack of effort and hustle his team showed in its loss to the Buckeyes. He said he was going to mix things up in practice heading into today's game to try and light a spark under the Huskers, so it will be interesting to see the type of intensity they come out with in their Big Ten home opener. Nebraska must give maximum effort if its going to compete in this conference, and Miles knows it.

Head coach Tim Miles on why he believes Wisconsin is a winnable game:

"Is it a shock that I thought it was a winnable game? Well first of all, I think we have to have the mindset that it's a winnable game, and I would question if that was the mindset going into Ohio State. I'm not sure that we really, truly felt that way. So I wanted to set the tone early that we're expecting to win games, bottom line."
Senior forward Brandon Ubel on his impressions of the Badgers:

"The thing that they do really well is they wait for you to make a mistake and they don't make mistakes themselves. For the past three or four years I think they've had the lowest turnover ratio in the country. They just don't make mistakes. They run what they run really well, and they take advantage of weaknesses."

Wisconsin 61-52
