Come out hot

Nebraska was able to pull off a big win over Iowa on Saturday, but it took the third-largest comeback in school history to do it. The Huskers have been notorious this year for either coming out cold or cooling off dramatically in the second half after a good start. Winning in the Kohl Center is one of the most difficult things to do in the Big Ten Conference, and NU simply can't afford to have any lingering lapses at any point of the game tonight. The Huskers must open the game ready to play from tip-off and keep up the same intensity for a full 40 minutes if they're going to pull off the upset.
Find a way to score

Wisconsin boasts one of the best defenses in all of college basketball this season, holding its opponents to an average of 55.7 points per game. The Badgers have held seven of their 14 Big Ten foes to 55 points or less and have yet to allow 70 or more points in a game in league play. Since Nebraska joined the Big Ten last year, it has yet to score more than 45 points in three meetings with UW, including a 47-41 loss in Lincoln on Jan. 6. The good news is guys like Dylan Talley, Shavon Shields and Brandon Ubel are shooting as well as they have all season, and Ray Gallegos just broke out of his recent scoring slump with 11 points against Iowa.
Play for your season

As slim as their chances might be, the Huskers remain determined to accomplish their goal of qualifying for post-season play. While lower tournaments like the CBI or CIT are available, head coach Tim Miles said no other Big Ten team has played in a tournament below the NIT, and he doesn't want Nebraska to be the first. That means it's NIT (or NCAA too, technically) or bust, and that means NU pretty much has to win no fewer than three of its final four regular season games and hope to get another win in the Big Ten Tournament. It definitely won't be easy, but that road starts tonight.

Head coach Tim Miles on what it would mean for Nebraska to play in the post-season:

"When those seniors tell you, 'Hey, we'd like to play in the postseason, the NCAA or NIT,' that means something. To have a chance, that means a lot. But we have to do it right. This is an important week. We have to find a way to scratch out a victory or two victories."
Senior forward Brandon Ubel on Wisconsin's recent success, as the Badgers have now won five of their last six games:

"It doesn't really surprise me. They're another one of those teams like Michigan State that tends to play better as the season gets going. They end up playing their best basketball late, and that's what they're doing."

Wisconsin 55-46
